Adam&Co. curates the first Fenway Art Walk
Adam&Co. curated and produced four new COVID-friendly outdoor art installations within the Fenway neighborhood during the fall of 2021.
In collaboration with Samuels&Associates, the PangeaSeed Foundation, and Seawalls Boston, Adam&Co. helped to bring two enigmatic site specific installations to the Fenway. First, as part of the SeawallsBoston 2021 festival, we commissioned a custom mural painted by Japanese Artist Dragon76, which now lives as a permanent installation adjacent to Fenway Park. Hear Dragon speak about his inspiration in the video below.
The second, a large scale window installation by Yellena James, was a collaborative production effort between Adam&Co., PangeaSeed, Yellena, and ICL Imaging.com, who masterfully installed this beast. We created a repeat pattern using an existing work to fill an underutilized corner window space that spans over 165’ in length, that now offers visitors a peek into a supersized psychedelic aquarium.
The additional installations maximize existing retail storefronts, transforming them into open air canvases to showcase the work of local artists. On the corner of Van Ness and Richard Ross Way, we worked with MFA Artist in Residence Rob Stull, to create a unique work to wrap the corner of the building as you enter the block.
We worked with Samuels to convert a vacant storefront at 96 Van Ness into a shadowbox gallery with a rotating exhibit of work by contemporary artists with studios at the nearby Fenway Studios.
We developed a series of low cost, high impact outdoor signage to engage the curious as they pass by. QR codes create an immediate connection between these newly adopted fans and the artists themselves.
